SMG Rush
Close-range starting point with sensitivity 1.65, Dynamic right-stick curve and the shortest R2 stop.
BLACK OPS 7 · CONTROLLER SETUP
A responsive SMG and AR baseline for sensitivity, stick curves, trigger stops, back buttons and saved controller profiles—with practical notes for Ronin Zen users.
01 · IN-GAME
| Parameter | Starting value |
|---|---|
| Horizontal sensitivity | 1.65 |
| Vertical sensitivity | 1.65 |
| ADS sensitivity multiplier | 0.85–0.90 |
| Response curve | Dynamic |
A slightly lower ADS multiplier can preserve fine control during engagement while keeping the base rotation speed responsive.
02 · EDGE HARDWARE
| Control | Recommended baseline |
|---|---|
| Left stick · movement | Standard curve, linear response, no acceleration |
| Right stick · aim | Dynamic curve: controlled near center, more reactive toward the edge |
| Left dead zone | Minimum stable value, approximately 5% |
| Right dead zone | Minimum stable value, approximately 5%—never force zero when drift is present |
The correct dead zone is the lowest value that remains stable on your individual controller. A universal number cannot account for stick wear or drift.
03 · TRIGGERS
| Trigger | Configuration |
|---|---|
| R2 · Fire | Shortest stop for immediate activation and minimum travel |
| L2 · ADS | Medium-short stop for fast activation with additional protection against accidental input |
| Trigger dead zone | Minimum stable value on both triggers |
04 · BACK BUTTONS
| Button | Assignment | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Back Left | Jump · X | Jump without moving the right thumb away from the aim stick |
| Back Right | Crouch / Slide · Circle | Crouch or slide while maintaining aim-stick control |
05 · SAVED PROFILES
Close-range starting point with sensitivity 1.65, Dynamic right-stick curve and the shortest R2 stop.
Versatile mid-range profile with a slightly longer L2 stop and ADS multiplier starting at 0.85.
A factory-like baseline for comparison, troubleshooting and testing one change at a time.
06 · TESTING ORDER
Begin with the shortest R2 stop. Test it for two or three matches before changing another setting.
Lower the value gradually until drift appears, then increase it slightly until the aim remains still with relaxed hands.
Test Dynamic for approximately five matches. If fine aim feels inconsistent, compare it with Linear before deciding.
Assign Jump to the left back button and allow at least five matches to rebuild muscle memory.
Fine-tune between 0.85 and 0.90 depending on whether ADS movement feels too fast or too slow.
Set and test the native DualSense Edge profile first. Then configure Ronin Zen independently for the selected BO7 edition. If aim or movement feels inconsistent, return to the Default Edge profile to determine whether the behavior comes from the controller baseline or the software configuration.
The settings in this guide are native DualSense Edge options.
